United Kingdom Is the UK versions of season 4-5-6 of SUPERNATURAL missing footage?

On the back cover for season 4 the whole running time says 888 min while the US set says 924 min

Back cover for season 5 says 913 min while US set says 915 min

Back cover for season 6 says 915 min while US set says 917 min

Is the UK versions missing scenes orsomething because i find this very odd indeed

I believe for seasons 5 and 6 this might be due to speed up that happens when things are converted from NTSC to PAL standard but I didn't think this was the case for blu rays but with it being only 2 minutes that might be the case. As for season 4 it would appear to be something more substantial - perhaps they include extras in the total run time and the US set has more of them - not a fan so can't be of more help - sorry.

No that is not it because on blu ray there is no difference between ntsc and pal. And from what i have seen all the extras is the same as the Us for all seasons. So this is really strange hopw someone can clear this up

Just to mess with you I've got the DVD sets in front of me and Season Four is 886 and Five 922 and they are the PAL speeds. Quite a few studios still put PAL speeds on cases.

The only thing I can think of is the 'previously on Supernatural....' maybe one set has them and the other don't. I wouldn't worry about a Warners release too much they're usually identical.

Thanks
so they are not cut because we all know how anal UK is about gore and violence and seeing that they have cut up season 1 of walking dead i wouldn't be surprised if they did it for another horror show

No, they're not cut, mate. Unfortunately, there seems to be a habit of cutting and pasting DVD running times, over to the blu-ray specs by the UK arms of certain companies. Nearly all Fox UK titles have the PAL DVD running time listed. I was unaware that Warner were doing this as well.

E1 Entertainment:

Thank you for your email.

Season 1 of TWD is indeed cut (by 25 seconds across the entire season), this is a result of our contractual obligations with creators AMC and the licensor FOX International. We have been supplied with the international version of the show due to region specific laws and contracts in a number of territories.

We will not be releasing an uncut version due to the for mentioned contractual obligations with the creators and licensor.
so it had nothing to do with the BBFC

Remember that The Walking Dead wasn't cut, the BBFC were given the shorter versions by EONE. They didn't submit the longer versions and they weren't asked to make cuts for the 15 certificate.

I'm sure if Supernatural had been cut we would have heard about it by now.

Thanks glad that Supernatural has not been cut.

Still think it kind of fishy the overseas version of TWD is cut. And the US version is the ONLY one not cut and it is region coded. Talk about not wanting to sell you product by doing such a sloppy job.

It's a shame that AMC doesn't want to release their product completely in foreign territories while they've released it three times in the US. It seems quite an insular way to do business. And the European distributors seem to have taken unnecessary flak for it. I hope they got a discount for the rights.

So was the version shown on UK TV the same as our Blu-ray?
