Do you have any idea about what downloadable songs will be like? I know that Rock Band is talking about releasing entire albums, or large groups of songs every couple weeks...

I'm definitely buying GH3, maybe Rock Band as well...but I just haven't heard much about the downloadable stuff for GH3...

If you know, please go into detail

"One" by Metallica.

That's all you need to know. Buy it!

This list looks great.

no... DONT buy it!

Ive been fan of guitar hero since before it was even officially announced... That being said, ive been a supporter of harmonix since their first game- Frequency.

The orignal guitar hero was an amazing game, why? Becuase it wasnt about money... it was made for the original fans of Amplitude (The greatest game in the world by the way...)

Guitar hero 2 was made for half and half... Half for the supporters of guitar hero, and half for the money- all amp fans were ditched- Thanks HMX.

Guitar hero 80's/Guitar Hero ||| was sold to activision for 150 million dollars... Do you really think they care about the fans? No. Not at all... they sold out on guitar hero 80s, and that game sucked. -Hard.

They;re just gonna do it again here.

Rock band is slightly annoying me as well, though, its slightly like amplitude.
Basically, rock band is Amplitude without a remix mode, less fun online with no strategy involved, and added instruments- all for ""Only (?)"" a bit over only 200 dollars! Hurray...!
But i must buy rock band. I own every other Harmonix game...

Ugh. Nobodys gonna listen to me anyway. Go buy guitar hero anyway... be like everyone elese. support a game that, we'll soon see thousands of sequels within the next... week.

I've never been a huge fan of the GH set lists... just not the kind of music I like. I've learned to like some of the songs just because they're fun to play, but I'd really like to see more variety in the songs they choose. Maybe they'll have a good download selection...

I'm just in it to have fun. My family enjoyed the 80s GH just fine. We have them all and they all are fun to mess around with. But, we don't get "hardcore" with it.

As to Rock Band, while I'd like to get it, I'm not spending $200+ for it. I'm getting GH3 and that will be it.

And by the way, it's always about the money. The only question is how much about the money is it.

im pretty sure they kicked GH the 80's out the door to finish off their contract iv'e heard it was'nt that great but i would'nt see it as a sign of their future work.

on topic guitar hero 3 looks like it has a pretty metal set so i will be picking it up i hope the new guitar works with the previous GH's.

Maybe you should obsess over a real guitar. You'd probably get really good with your dedication

My bro got into GH, and he loved it so much, we got him a real electric guitar ($100 at Guitar Center), and he would never put it down. Eventually he got into acoustic and got a really nice Ovation Guitar and plays all the time, he is self taught and can already play better than most people I know. He is really good, he tried to go to a guitar teacher but he said he could not teach him anything until he learned to read music (rather than tabs). Once he learns that, he will be able to get really good!

Looking forward to GH3 myself, I wonder if it can handle the original guitars as well, since I have 2 of those but I don't want to have to buy all new ones for the wireless signal.
