The Legend of 1900 on BD - Blu-ray Forum

I would love to see the film THE LEGEND OF 1900 on Blu! This is easily a film you may have missed however. Directed by Giuseppe Tornatore and starring Tim Roth in a fabulous performance as a prodigy piano player. The cinematography is beautiful and would look wonderful in Blu not to mention the Golden Globe winning score by Ennio Morricone. Anyone else like to see this one?

Yes, I love this movie too! Tornatore + Morricone = MAGIC!
Here's hoping we'll get the uncut edition on Blu ray, whenever it happens...

True, I picked up the Korean disc years ago for around $20 from CDJapan. Fantastic film. Best head cutting duel this side of Crossroads.

Found a used copy on Amazon Canada a couple of years ago, unfortunately it came without the beautiful slipcover. Picked up a brand new one recently from Nova Media's Winter sale. I love this movie, it's one of my favorites!

Finally . . . great story, wonderful piano talent, and available from Amazon's warehouse in Blu-ray.

Note: The above link does show the details, but the link to Amazon did not work for me. Instead, when I got to the Amazon site - I simply searched for the item number of B00P2VUMOQ .

Although the new price is around $34, there are other used versions when searching in Google using the ean number, as in ean=8809154152342

Still, there is a better option that I am trying out tonight where I can buy the steaming movie in High Definition for $4.99 (regular 9.99)

I purchased the movie through Amazon Prime to stream. The 1080 HD came through very well.

The most amazing thing about the film: it's based on a monologue in a one-man show.

Just came from a piano concert tonight and the pianist referenced this film. Saw a few clips on YouTube and it looks really good. Seems like a good international title for someone like Kino Lorber to put out.

is there any noticeable worth while difference between any of the regular blu ray releases? any info about the 4K release?

I'd like to see this film but I wouldn't want to watch it at a particularly lower quality level amongst the standard blu ray releases (Italian being the oldest copy, wondering if the Korean is better scan/source?)
