Region locked? That's a bummer and will also mean that I will just wait for a price drop or just buy a Japanese 3DS instead whenever I have the money for it. But I do wonder if the lock is only for 3DS titles or if it also applies to regular DS games for people like me who import from Japan since the regular DS is region-free.

But this? This is going to be a god send for me. I never owned an N64, so geting the chance to play Starfox and Zelda OOT and whatever else they eventually decide to port over isn't going to be like a double dip for me as I never had the chance to play them, I'm finally going to experiance the N64 era ![]() And personaly I'm a supporter of 3D. I love 3D films, but right now buying a 3DTV is out of the question. So this brings home 3D, albeit on a very small scale, but at an affordable price to me. It will be my first experiance of 3D in the home and of 3D gaming. Aswell as 3D camera and the option to play 3D movies as they demo'd last year. Until I can afford an upgrade, this is the closest I'm getting to 3D outside of the cinema. If the 3D wasn't included then I think its safe to say I would hold off until the price drop, but thats their hook. 3D is the deal breaker, and I'm sold ![]() |

But as far as 3DS goes, the 3D is the only thing right now that has me, looking at the launch games for Japan, there isn't a single one that screams must have, so I just hope we get a better deal over here. Otherwise it looks like I'll be playing Pokemon Black untill the AAA games start to come out. |

Region codes don't do much these days except to piss people off. Since the PS3 is region free, I've bought many games straight from Japan.
I'll wait until there are some bypasses to the regional lockouts (not piracy, just region code bypass). |

But sadley its not suprising, both the DSi and DSi XL are region locked. But only DSi enhanced games have the region code in them. Thats the only reason I didnt import Pokemon Black or White. And sadly people do end up pirating games that they cant get in their region. So I really cant understand Nintendos decision ![]() |

But because PS3, DS, and PSP are region-free, I can import games from Japan that will most likely not come to America. I even now have a lot more games just because of those systems and them being region-free. |

I can't friggin' wait for the 3DS. I'm even holding back from purchasing any Blu-rays in the next month or so in order to afford it. Been a Nintendo fan my whole life, they still continue to impress me. A 3D handheld that doesn't require glasses? Genius. Ocarina of Time 3D will be worth it alone.
