Default Assassins Creed Revelations

Just spotted this on a web site:

Quote:
Confirmed during the call was news that a new home console Assassin’s Creed game would be released in fiscal year 2012, which ends in March 2012. An official announcement of this title will be made in May this year. Although it’s possibly that the title could release at the beginning of 2012, Ubisoft would probably want to stick to its successful November release window.

It better be the third installment and not another spin-off.

Wait a second. I thought brotherhood was III. Is there any point to playing brotherhood? Does it advance the story at all?

No, its basically 2.5, it finishes Ezio's story.

You should fix the title to say "by March 2012" I would expect they will keep the same November release that they always have.

Then again this years holiday is already crowded:
Mass Effect 3
Uncharted 3
Call of Duty 3000
Arkham City
Resistance 3
Gears of War 3

Resistance 3 and Arkham City are released in Sept and Oct so those wont interfere with my holiday gaming haha. AC:B sure did feel like AC3 and to me it did continue the story. The ending was a WTF!!

Really hope it's the 3rd game and not another spin-off. Wonder what era we will be in this time though?

What was wrong with AC:B? Sure it wasn't a true 3rd game but it was still good and I'm glad we got to see more of Ezio before they moved to the next game.

I think AC:B was released because of the response they had from fans who wanted more Ezio story also they wanted to try multiplayer

I'm glad Ubisoft did make Brotherhood. It wasn't a just a quick game to get an easy profit. I thought it was a worthy successor to ACII. People complain about the story but I thought it added nicely to what happens to Ezio and Desmond. I also enjoyed the multiplayer. I can't wait till the next Assassin's Creed game but I'm not complaining that Brotherhood wasn't a true 3rd game. Given that it only came out a year later from AC2, it was pretty damn good.

Nothing was wrong with Brotherhood I'm just not into multiplayer which is a huge selling point of the game and wanted to spend my money on other things while I waited for the 3rd AC game.

I LOOOOVED II, and I loved the gameplay elements of Brotherhood...but they could have saved that for III. Ezio's story was already finished in II, as far as I'm concerned.

The single player alone for Brotherhood was good enough. At least I think so, but I tend to have different views on everything it seems.

Never knew about the single player mode or that it was good enough alone. I never really did do any research into this game once I found out it was mostly a multiplayer game but I will have to look into it and get it if I can find it cheap enough.

Well the single player is great and if you liked AC2, I don't see why you wouldn't like AC:B. It has everything good from AC2 and adds some pretty cool new additions. I would check it out, especially if you want to know what's going on when AC3 rolls around.
