I really hope it does. I'm surprised these studios keep changing packaging when they must know that a lot of people like uniformity when it comes to film series and tv shows. But then I guess they know we'll spend money to double dip when they come out with a series that matches

I like it better this way as well. This way if I go see something in theaters and enjoy it I can come home and pre-order the title. I don't have to wait for the pre-order to go up and possibly miss it and not know it's coming out until release week. It makes planning future spending much easier.

Damn, no kidding. I mean, this is ridiculous. If they are going to do this crap, I'd appreciate it if they would just release the Blu-Ray on the same day it gets released into theaters. I don't understand the need to announce it for Blu so soon. What is this expected to accomplish?

Because it is unnecessary and bucks the trend of the film appearing in theaters, then being announced for home video at a later date. It has ALWAYS been this way and that is what many of us are used to and liked, so when they are announcing it before the damn movie can even be seen in theaters, it is annoying and frankly, weird, and serves no purpose. Now, if they choose to offer ticket discounts, free tickets, or a special early release on Blu-Ray, that would be different, but this just seems like a way to get people to pre-order something unnecessarily. The entire "pre-order" stuff started with video games and now it is everywhere, grrrrrr. Next thing you know companies will want to you pre-order your washing machine or refrigerator.
