Default What movie have you seen that

looked terrible , then you seen it and thought wow, pretty good.
Mine would have to be Cube. Wouldn't mind that on BD.

A bit confused here. Do you mean a movie that you heard about / read the back of the case / saw pictures on the case / saw the trailer and it seemed as if it would be terrible. Then you watch it and realize it's brilliant?

If that is the case, for me, The Descent would be one. Buffalo '66 would be another.

BTW, Cube is awesome!

Read about, saw pics, trailer anything that made you notice the movie before you actually watched it.

Robocop. When I heard the title of this movie coming out and just looking at the TV spot, it looked and sounded like some retarded kids movie. Man, talk about a brutal film though - especially in it's time.

Greenstreet Hooligans

Everytime I walked past it in Blockbuster I said to myself...

"man this movie with harry potter in it looks kinda gay"

come to realize he's from Lord of the Rings and the movie actually kicked ass. (literally!)

The Matrix.

I thought "what the hell kinda piece of crap is this going to be?" My brother had it one day and said "man you gotta watch this" so I borrowed it. So I plugged it into the ol' VCR and ...pretty near blew my mind. I've seen it at least a hundred times since.

Sad, isn't it?

I may not have seen it 100 times...maybe 40-50! I watch it EVERYTIME it comes on TV.

Cant wait for Matrix on Blu.

Saw that movie listed on TMN and ignored for a while. Eventually the movie aired on TMN HD so I recorded it on my DVR and there it sat for a week or so until I eventually watched it. It was suprisingly good. Frodo kicks ass.

I got a taste of The Matrix in HD the other day since it was on Showcase HD.

Looked great but not as good as it'll look on Blu!

Casino Royale!

"What? That ugly blonde guy from Tomb Raider is going to be Bond?? They're 're-booting' the franchise from before he was a double 0? No Q, no Miss Moneypenny?"

I saw the trailer and was convinced it was going to suck.

Loved it in the theater!

I remember sitting in the theater cringing when Murphy was getting shot up by Clarence & his gang. Awesome violence.

Ratatouille looked retarded but then when I saw it with a friend I really enjoyed it. I should have more faith in Pixar. I think I will pick Ratatouille and Cars up when they come out on Blu-Ray, but I will be sure to pass by the HD DEAD Movies to see how much dust are on them.

Disturbia, I'm glad I watched it despite the trailers too, a lot better than I expected.
