Man WB is making it dam hard for me to choose movies.
Many of their blu-rays dont have losless sound. I keep pointing towards Sony and Buena Vista, |

I think a big reason is that they base their transfers on the releases they put out in Hd Dvd. That would be the reason for the VC-1 video codec and Dolby Digital soundtrack. BTW, welcome to the forums, nice to have more people on board.

Until recently they did not use lossless because they did not want the BD to have an advantage over the HD DVD (some people own both players). Luckily it looks like they are at least trying to remedy this situation (but still using the inferior then what it could be video).
