Default The Taking Of Pelham 123

One of my favorite films is "The Taking Of Pelham 123". I Have the DVD of it, however it is not anamorphic widescreen and it is horribly annoying to watch it on my new widescreen tv. My question is this for anyone out there who might know the answer. Is there anything on the horizon in the form of a Blu-Ray release of this fine film?

Its definately not one that would rank high on the list!
Do you know who released it (studio)?
If it is released by one of the blu studios, then it is possible, but going out on a limb here, I would say not at the moment!

There is a thread in the newbie section devoted to questions just as this! You can post questions about releases here:

And welcome to the forums!

According to reports at DARK HORIZONS and AIN'T COOL NEWS this title is about to me remade by Denzel Washington and Tony Scott. It may be that the older Matthau-Shaw-Balsam version will come out when the new version is released. My copy of the MGM DVD is in widescreen. Of the same era is the title THE ANDERSON TAPES whuch, to my knowledge has never been released on and DVD.

Anderson Tapes is another favorite of mine and was only released on Laserdisc in 4X3. That Columbia release deserves to at least be on SD DVD.
