I have a Harman / Kardon 3490 (2.1) and I'm wanting to upgrade to 5.1 to finally experience DTS-HD MA with blu-ray. What I have now sounds excellent for music, but I'm concerned that some of this excellence will be lost in the switch from 2.1 to 5.1. I've read a lot of overviews on AV receivers and they never really mention music. I thought about trying a Sony receiver because they're reasonably-priced and would match my speakers (I'm OCD like that), but I think I'd be more comfortable sticking with H/K.

Would this impact the quality of my jams? I'd appreciate some guidance. My front speakers: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o03_s00 |
