Hi guys,
sorry if this is the wrong place to post but I didn't knew where else to post it. I am trying to add an album to my iPad but the album gets seperated because of a dash. I have no idea where to change this (already went to the tracklist and went to info but everything looks the same). This is what I am talking about: [Show spoiler] This is how my tracklist looks (exactly the same) [Show spoiler] Is anyone able to help me out here ![]() |

I have had this issue before as well...
I think I fixed it by selecting all the songs on that album in your tracklist (screenshot 2) then go to the properties and rewrite the artist name and album name, just leave the track names the way they are. I think there is 2 places for album titles just cant remember the difference in them, maybe one is Artist and the other is Album Artist, remove one of them from your songs. When you highlight them all at the same time and make the changes it will do them all so you wont have to do each song individually. If I was at home with itunes in front of me it would probably be a better explaination ![]() ![]() |

This was caused by an extremely stupid i-tunes update.... what you have to do is select all the songs on the album, then properties, yes to editing more then one song, then add like 7-9 spaces (as in just hit the space bar) after the album name, the more the better sometimes a few spaces doesn't work. This should rejoin the album back together. Then do it again, and remove the spaces after the album name, and the album will still stay together.
Stupid update with a stupid fix, spent a number of hours doing this after it happened as i-tunes split nearly every album i have.... some into multiple parts. City and colour had one album split into 5 seperate album listings on my IPOD. Since i keep both lossless and mp3 versions of every song i own it was a real pain. |

The screenshots you provided are exactly why I don't let iTunes sort my music. I cannot stand the way it automatically decides things. To be fair, though, the database from which it pulls its information is probably not 100% accurate either, which I'm sure is a large part of the problem. Regardless, I just bypass all of that nonsense and I handle the organization on my own.

I use Tagscanner to tag all my music. I edit everything manually so that I can have them on my iPod the way I want them. |
