Great news on One Nite in Mongkok. Derek Yee's best film in my opinion.

One Nite in Mongkok is easily of the best movies from Hong Kong in the 2000's. A gritty crime thriller with great performances that fits Derek Yee's style of directing perfectly.

As for Divergence, I can't say I disliked it but there are far better Benny Chan films available. It's a decent thriller but there are too many undeveloped characters, plot threads, and a surprising lack of tension.

I'm interested in how these releases are going to look. As far as I know these will be the earliest catalogue titles that Universe have released so far. Hopefully they turn out well and give an indication that they put care into their future releases of past titles.

Universe also released The Storm Riders on bluray and that was from 1998.

Just spotted that a blu of Herman Yau's 'On the Edge' is also down for an August 04th release from Universe. More fantastic news, another cracking little downbeat HK crime thriller from a few years ago.
