All the speaker wire cutting comments on the BB reviews really confused me... Were they not expecting to have to cut the wires? As far as those comments go, I would chalk that up to people not really knowing what they were getting maybe? I mean, unless i'm not understanding, one will always have to cut speaker wires to one's desired lengths and then strip them and do whatever from there... soldering or clips or whatever... so if that's your only concern (the wiring) I wouldn't be... also, I wouldn't use the wire that comes with it anyway... You could order yourself some good 14 or 12 gauge wire from Monoprice.com for super cheap and be way happier! Sorry if I misunderstood that

That receiver in that HTiaB doesn't do lossless codecs, which is no big deal. I can't find specifications listed for the speakers, so Yamaha must not be proud of them. For less than $500 you could piece together a Receiver + 3.1 sound stage that would really do Blu-Ray audio justice compared to that Yamaha setup. And whenever you want you could upgrade to 5.1 for $225 to $250.

Denon AVR-391 Receiver ~$215 (3D capable, 5.1 receiver with HD audio codecs and Dolby PLIIz...one of the best bang for the buck entry level receivers you can get.)

Polk RM8 Surround speakers $100 a pair (use for Fronts initially)

Polk RM8 Center $90

Sherwood SWH-672 Subwoofer ~$80 (This particular sub is designed by the guy in charge of HSU subs - which are excellent subwoofers)

And to upgrade the system to a 5.1 setup:

Polk OWM5 speakers ~ $225 for a pair (use as the new fronts and move RM8 to surround)

or

Polk RTi-A1 speakers ~ $250 a pair (if you truly want to step it up to a quality HT level. Same as with the OWM5 - use these for the fronts and switch RM8 to surround duty)

For a high quality HT system for low $$$ that what I would recommend. The Yahama system is not worth the money you are paying for it...

Thumbs up Audio system

Or you could just go with this one - http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Onkyo+-+...nkyo&cp=1&lp=9 . It will do everything you want/need it to do. I have 2 Onkyo systems in my home, and have been totally pleased with them.
