Washington DC - (Tysons Corner)...

There are several reviews of this player already at AVS Forum including my brief write up on my viewing at Tysons.

Bottom line... If you have seen HD-DVD you have seen Blu-ray. The quality is phenomenal and very comparible. It offers nothing more to speak of over HD-DVD in image quality.

But, as said many times before, Blu-ray as a product has many other things going for it including, most notably, widespread industry and studio support. The player itself did not appear one iota better than the Toshiba... which is exactly what has been expected.

I am not underwhelmed - I am happy to say that it lived up to the competition 100% IMO.

I'm tempted to drive down there to the Chicago location since I live just north of there in the Milwaukee area.

After seeing King Kong on HD DVD and picking my jaw off the floor I knew that I wasn't going to see any less with Blu Ray.

Man am I eager to compare HoFD DVD with the Blu-Ray version. Bummer though my car just blew up and It's going to set me back a bit to fix it but I'll be there next year.
