Default How to get someone into home theater
I have a friend who has a $1200 TV and are listening to movies and video games through TV speakers.

What is the best lo-budget path to audio bliss?

I was thinking either:
AVR + 2 floorstanding speakers
Such as Polk Audio TSi 400 + Onkyo TX-SR608
or
AVR + 5.1 system
Onkyo TX-SR608 + HSU Ventriloquist VT-12 + 12" Lava Sub

Mostly would be used for movies and video games, not as much for music.
