Snake bit me in the hand I'd say, 9-10 years ago - still have the marks. No poison though.

i've been bitten by many snakes. usually non venomous, but a rattlesnake did bite through my shoe once. didn't hit skin though. little bastard. i let him go though. i was just moving him away from an elementary school.

and my pet turtle bit the crap out of my hand once. when i was moving her to a pond that i donated her to. should have seen what she did to the petco employee who tried to handle her. can anyone say salmonella?

I was bitten in the nose by a good sized lap dog when I was about 12 around my neighborhood where I grew up. I bent over unassumingly to pet him and perhaps play around a bit, and all of a sudden in a split second he got up on two legs and bit me in the nose. Little fu**er. I remember it to this day because it was painful as hell, plus my nose wouldn't stop bleeding for like half an hour.

Then it was off to the races to try to find its owner and see if he had his rabies shot. That was a bit scary.

I was bit on my man-tit by a tang in the Bahamas many years ago. Drew blood. However, the white-tails that keep running into our vehicles on the highway are the deadliest encounters (my wife also side-swiped a moose this year).

When I was about 14, my grandpa made a donation to our local zoo. Because of this we got to have a visit at our home from their poster animal, a young mountain lion named Wildchild. We still have the home video where you can see the lion playing with a stuffed animal held by my little brother. Then you see my skinny leggs of to the side in shorts. You then see said lion look around and litch eyes on said skinny legs. You then see said lion chase said legs out of the room. You do not see me "treed" in my top bunk bed with an enthusiastic cub trying to get up there to play with my legs.

He probably would not have done much more damage than a large housecat, he was only a couple months past weaning, but I wasn't going to risk it, especially after watching the little guy drag my 8 year old brother around by the waist of his pants. He was probably about twice the size of a normal house cat and he was dragging a sturdy 8 year old around like a toy.

When I was a kid in elementary school - I got bit by the neighbors pit bull. He chomped down on my wrist and it went all the way through to the other side. Blood started pouring out. I ran home afraid. It was so quick it did not hurt, but mainly freaked me out and I started crying. Not sure why he did it, he just did.

No scars, but what can I say - the neighbors used to beat the dog with a stick so I guess that's why it did what it did.

I absolutely believe you. One of my mom's cousins has an ostrich farm. Those are some nasty tempered birds!

I swear it wasn't me. I wasn't near the place. Honest. I didn't even start to go blind
until 1991! ~_^

Sadly not doable at this time. It is still in VHS form. I have been trying to get my parents to get them converted to DVD pretty much since there were services to do that. We have two working VCRs between the whole family and none of them are regularly hooked up. I've been trying to use that and preservation as my arguing points, but so far it keeps being put in that someday category parents use even after all the kids are grown up.

If and when I convince them or bully my siblings into splitting the cost to do it ourselves, I will definitely put that one and a few other gems on Youtube.
Oh, and I don't know how long mountain lions live, so I don't know if he is still around, but the last time I went to the Alamogordo zoo back in the mid '90s, Wildchild was still there. I was very glad he couldn't repeat his antics with his adult claws and teeth.
