Alright guys the first episode of the MORTAL KOMBAT web series debuts
4/12/11 @4pm on machinima.com.

This thread we will discuss each episode as they debut.

That it is. But it is a bad time to be flat broke. I did however pick up MK vs DCU at the gamestop sale for 8 bucks. That will have to hold me over until I can afford to get the new game once it is released in a couple weeks.

The Web Series is heavily anticipated here. If you cannot tell I am a huge MK fan. MK forms some of my best arcade memories. The endless hours and quarters I put into MK in the local arcade will always be fresh in my mind.

Looks good to me so far!

I'm already hearing whiners going "oh, how is that supposed to be Jax and Kano, it's just two guys fighting!" Yeah, well, when you watch a one minute clip, there's only so much that can scream "Mortal Kombat" without being over the top.

Personally, I can't wait for the full episode next week!

How long is each webisode supposed to be? And how many do they plan to have? I only ask because it looks pretty ood and it would be cool if they put them all together and released it as a movie on Blu( after they are done airing on the Internet of course).

I think they're supposed to be around 10 minutes each, with 10 episodes... so should be over an hour and a half total.

I can easily see Warner Premiere pulling a "Watchmen: The Motion Comic", and compiling them all onto a blu-ray this summer. If they're going for one new episode per week, the last episode should premiere June 14th, so a blu-ray could easily be in July or (better yet, for my birthday) in August.

Aside from the 10 episodes, it would be great to get commentary for each episode, behind the scenes footage, and (if possible) the original Mortal Kombat Rebirth short that kick started the web series.

and then lets get a "REAL" movie made...while i enjoyed the first 2 to an extent...can we please get something that isn't pg-13 and is more like the game...i wanna see a head ripped off with a spine attached damnit!!!!!

That's better than all the movies combined.

The acting is a bit crappy, but it looks surprisingly good. It's sort of missing some Mortal Kombat-ness though, but it's still early. I also didn't know that dude was Stryker until the credits.

It's missing the cheese and theme song. It's good, much better than what's on TV these days. Can't wait to see what next week holds.

First episode was epicc

did even know striker was gonna be in this haha.i can't wait for next week mortal kombat game,mortal kombat 1 and 2 on blu and new mortal kombat episode

Not bad; I think it has potential. There's room for improvement with the dialogue, and Darren Shahlavi (aka Kano) needs to work on his delivery; his over-the-top nature was a bit much.

I saw the first episode via SuperHero Hype! today, and on a scale of 1 - 10, it gets a 7 in my book. The action was interesting, and most of the scenes were OK, but it seemed like very little actually happened in that 12-minute section. We got 2 different conversations with Jax, a few moments from a pre-mutilated Kano, and Jeri Ryan spends 90% of the clip chained to the ceiling, only to escape at the very end before the credits roll...what the heck?!

Also, maybe its just me, but did anyone else think that Jeri was channelling Seven of Nine a bit, in her first call to Jax about Kano?
