Oh, damn. I never read his comics work but I read everyone of his Star Trek novels. RIP Peter David.

The Linda Danvers Supergirl is still one of my favourite incarnations of the character.

During the 90's when Marvel UK were doing a fairly decent run of comics in the US, Deaths Head II most notably, Marvel US pretty much ignored everything they were doing despite them being in the same universe (since retconned).
Peter David was the one exception, he actually took notice, and put Marvel UK characters Motormouth and Killpower in an issue of Incredible Hulk. He was the literally the only one who showed any acknowledgement of, and respect for Marvel UK.
