Just got my new BD copy. While trying to engage the Pic in a pic feature entitled: Max. Movie Mode GL's Light, I can get the pic in a pic window on lower left corner playing video, but ZERO volume! This is prevalent first several offerings, whereas some windows are expanded to full screen interrupting feature film and plays fine. But many remain smaller windows playing w/o sound. Thankfully I think these are available to view as featurettes individually else where on the disc menu, but still aggravating when the PIP non-video, rather just graphics w/ texts play fine, one cannot watch both and enjoy, as the volume is not available. last update for my BD player was 5/2011. Now discontinued by Sharp(BD-HP210U). Anyone have any tips as to how to gain sound back on pic in pic video in movie mode? Thanks!

They advised clearing unit by doing factory reset. Done, nada! Also did a wipe of my flashdrive memory, again, still having zero audio on pic in pic commentary playback while viewing film in this mode. Grrrrrrrrr. Thankfully, I believe this content is also avail. in expanded form as featurettes on disc...so, while in pic in pic mode, I can only see/read text windows, no audio during video portions!

The most common cause of bitstreaming failing to work is that Blu-ray players will require you to turn "Secondary Audio" to OFF in order to bistream the HD audio codecs; the players to not have the functionality to mix the secondary audio (like Picture-in-Picture commentary) and re-encode it as TrueHD or DTS-MA. So if you want to listen to PIP or other special features, you may need to turn off the "bitstream" audio. |

I don't believe so, but thanks for tip, will check this when I get home from work later to see if this was the case. Also, on Amazon, many are reporting freezing during chapter 11 during a scene, that then skips ahead to another, on both theatrical and extended cuts.
