Best war movies on Blu-ray

What are the best war movies on blu-ray? I'm a big war fan and was wondering what you all think. I probably own most of them but hopefully there are some ones that I do not know about that you would recommend. And while this thread is here, if you have a movie in general (dvd or blu-ray) that good please let me know! Thanks.

P.S. Saving Private Ryan NEEDS to come out on blu-ray...

Well, not a movie..and you probably have it...but Band of Brothers. Often cited on this site as 'kick ass'

Good movie, the blu won't blow anyone away (no lossless, either). Big ups for Band of Bros, that one tops even Saving Private Ryan (if it existed).

Some good ones are Black Hawk Down, Tears of the Sun, The Patriot, Kingdom of Heaven and U-571.

I agree that Saving Private Ryan is very much on everyone's wish list.

Band of Brothers...Its not a movie...Its a series, But it feels like a movie and every disc is great.

I am too waiting on Saving private ryan...I saw it on TNT HD the other night and it looked pretty darn good.

I did like we were soldiers also...Story wise...The pq or aq didnt blow me away.

Band of brothers has great pq...and the tnt hd showing on saving private ryan looked great also.

I am also waiting on enemy at the gates.

Rescue Dawn, Hart's War, Patton, Letters From Iwo Jima, Flags of Our Fathers, The Dirty Dozen, and Saints and Soldiers and Days of Glory from the UK.

I highly recommend all of them, as well as these upcoming movies:

Band of Brothers should be on top of your priority list if your in the market for new shows. ~$40 for 10-11 hours of awesome movie... way too good to pass up.
