Default The Walking Dead: Season 2

Quote:
As expected, Telltale has revealed the first concrete details about The Walking Dead: The Game’s second season. Season two will be released “later this year” on PC/Mac, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and iOS “with additional platforms to be announced.”

According to Telltale, season two “will continue the story of Clementine, a young girl orphaned at the outset of the undead apocalypse, now left to her own devices to seek safety and survive in a world gone mad. Now assuming the role of an ordinary child, players will struggle to outwit both the dead and the living in situations that will test their morals and control the flow of the story through their decisions and actions.”

The Walking Dead’s second season will include five episodes in all and run through 2014. On PC, a Season Pass will save players 10% and is currently available for pre-order on Steam for $22.49.
Quote:
“The terrifying nature of Robert Kirkman’s world has allowed Telltale to push the boundaries of interactive drama in video games to a place that has had fans anxious to know what will happen next in this series,” said Telltale CEO Dan Connors. “Today we can finally lift the veil, albeit only a little, on how this story will continue, and we’ll soon be putting players in the shoes of a lead role that will challenge their expectations of how to survive in a world where no one can be trusted.”

Hopefully it will come to PS4 as well. Remember Telltale saying a while ago that they were looking for ways to carry your save file over.

The Season Pass isn't up yet! Just like The Wolf Among Us, but hopefully we won't have to wait until Fri/Sat again. The PS Store Update says it is a cross-buy, which would be awesome (Edit: Now it's been updated and doesn't show cross-buy anymore). Apparently, there is only 8 trophies in the trophy list with other episodes' trophies to be added later as DLC. Which also means no platinum.

I want this fo Vita or PS4. Don't know if I can wait, though. I really want to see what happens to Clem.

Would like to know as well, since that's what I am waiting on. Why is it so hard to get it up along with just episode 1?

Season pass purchased.
Episode 1 downloaded & completed in about 90min
It was buggy & glitchy just like all Telltale releases. Funny playing as Clem with only 1 eye for about 15min

Episode was good overall

Some of my choices cause I don't remember them all....
[Show spoiler]Killed Dog, gave dude water, chose young dude.

I'm playing Episode 1 now, and trying to avoid any spoilers, but this whole scene with
[Show spoiler]the dog attacking you
is complete and utter bullshit.

The controls you have to do is damn near impossible (for me, anyway) and it's so damn fast paced, and the various different movements and buttons you have to push is making this frustrating beyond belief.

Gonna try some more, but I'm almost at a "f*** this game" level right now. Nothing in the 1st game even remotely approaches this level of ridiculousness.

I agree about the controls being difficult. I was having a problem with some of the dodges. After dying SEVERAL times, I used the dpad instead of the left stick, and it worked much better.

Content wise, I think this was the best episode yet!

[Show spoiler]I killed the dog, because it was in pain. Refused dude water because he was one of those that attacked Christa, and chose Pete, because he was out of ammo.

The save system is bunk. Somehow, my completed save from the disc is gone, randomly replaced by a digital copy save from when I completed 400 Days, putting me at 0% progress for season 1. Now whenever I load it up with supposed "random" choices generated for me, it's the same choices being made over and over and somehow the exact opposite of every choice I actually made on my play through. Give me an option to choose important choices rather than this hack garbage with a terrible save system.

Bought the Season Pass and finished episode one, really enjoyed it and they really managed to pack the emotional punch in there.

My PS3 save transferred just fine, it did read it as the 400 Days save which makes sense as that was the last episode I finished. All my choices from before showed correctly.

Controls feel different as other have said, took me 3 times to finish the
[Show spoiler]dog part
.

For a game that runs off the hard drive I cannot believe how choppy it was, hope that improves in the next episode. Think I will play it again doing different choices but I doubt anything major changes in this episode, I kept wondering if I could have
[Show spoiler]saved someone, anyone, anything
!

Sucks hearing it being choppy, glitchy, buggy, etc...but I expect that to be smoothed out before too long. These games sell well and make money which means they can afford to upkeep them.
