I'm looking for a budget Blu-Ray player that is also pretty decent. Basically these two seem to be at the bottom of the totempole for cost as they are both $80 at BestBuy and Amazon right now.
Currently I have a Toshiba 19" 16:10 (native 1440x900) 720p LCD-TV. I'm hoping for Christmas to be getting a Toshiba 24" 1080p LED-LCD TV. The only thing I'm looking to be able to do is to play Blu-Ray movies and upscale DVDs. I don't use movie streaming services and I prefer youtube on my laptop. I've narrowed it down to either the Panasonic DMP-BD75 which seems to have a really fast boot time according to reviews or the Sony BDP-S185 which I like the smaller profile of. I'm not sure which is better so I'm looking for others' input as to which is recomended. The only worry I have is that I've never been well treated by Sony products as they typically seem to die quickly on me. So, which do you recomend? Thank you! |
