It is illegal to bypass the anti piracy copy protection on the blu-ray disk itself. so although it is legal to make a personal copy of the program itself blu-ray incorporates an anti piracy copy protection key that it is illegal to bypass in order to make your personal copy so therefore it is illegal to make copies of your commercial blu-ray titles even if it is for personal use sorry

So, is this sort of a catch 22? It is legal to make a personal copy, but to make a personal copy I have to bypass copy protection which is illegal. Do I understand this correctly?
It is still not clear for me whether I can back-up my Blu-Ray films on my desktop computer's hard drive legally. |
