United Kingdom Region a locked blu rays

Can anyone point me in the right direction to a list of all blu rays that are region locked A, I just bought a multi region player and want to collect mostly USA discs.

If you have a multi-region player, why not just buy the discs you want no matter where they come from?

Kind of a silly request. Since you're region free now, why do you need a list of only region A releases? How about you get the movies you want regardless if it's region A locked or not?

Think we're probably mis-reading this to be honest - is this just a request to a list of BDs that are region A-locked, which the OP is prioritising to pick up?

Yes mate, wording probably not correct on my part.. Basically Blu Rays that no one can play on Region B Players here.. Exclusive to USA.

Makes perfect sense surely - the OP has bought a region-free player and is looking to take advantage of it by picking up BDs that he wouldn't previously have been able to play......

Well all Criterion blu-rays are region A locked, and films like "Rosemary's Baby" have exclusive extras (UK release is barebones). I only have a few region A locked films so far, but a lot of ABC imports (that I didn't know region of at time of purchase) as I now don't have to worry about region status.

.

I bought a region free player a year or two ago. After that, I didn't go out specifically looking for locked movies to play on it. It simply gave me the freedom to buy the best version available worldwide, regardless of region. Seeking out a list of only Region A releases because you're region free is silly. It would be more logical to just have a movie in mind, and then decide which version to get. But hey, maybe that approach to buying makes too much sense.

Yes, he could sit and think up every single movie that he can possibly think of that he might want to buy, some of which might not even come to mind right away, or, like he asked for, he could find a list that already exists that he could probably browse through in minutes to see if there's anything that he couldn't previously pick up that he now can.

I'm sure going forward, now being region-free, the OP probably will make that call and buy the best version available, but in terms of back catalogue I really don't see the issue in the OP trying to find out what 'additional' BDs he now has access to.

These are my thoughts too, but hey, it's your money! Do whatever makes you happy with it.

The link in the third post or so is probably the best one for finding out confirmed region codings.

Here's a list of the 2217 BDs that are region A locked. Obviously some have been released here in the UK but it's quite simple to check which ones have, if certain titles pique your interest.

I buy Scream/Shout Factory discs. You'll need a love of 80s horror/Sci-Fi
They also have reverse sleeves which has original artwork which is pretty cool, like Arrows releases.
