Default Any Europe or Asia based retailer selling Viva Elite cases ?

Hi all .. I hope this forum section isn't too much of a wrong place to post this .. If it is the Mods please feel free to relocate this thread ..

I'm currently looking to buy some Viva Elite cases (maybe between 20 to 40 right now, and more later on) .. The problem is I'm located in Middle East Asia, and if I try to get some Viva Elite cases from a US based seller on eBay, the total cost gets multiplied by between 2 and 3 !! .. So if the cost of covers themselves is like $20, the shipping cost itself turns out to be at least $25 or so, whereas shipping within the US is free ...

So does anyone know any online retailer based outside the US who also sells Viva Elite cases ? Because I'm sure I'll face lesser shipping costs in this case ..

If not Viva Elite, then maybe a non-US based seller for Amaray cases ? .. Although I prefer Viva Elite to Amaray like 100 to 1 ..

Thanks in advance for your help guys

There's a few European sellers but they won't ship to you.

Only thing you can do is buy 100 from someone like http://cgi.ebay.com/220674563830 that works out a good price. You have to invest and you'll not go wrong with 100 and if you can't afford it get someone to do a co-buy.

If you are happy with Amarays (there are some great Amarays in the UK) then try http://www.aprmedia.com/category.php?cid=193 Email them and tell them where you live ("Midddle East Asia" doesn't mean very much). It may be worth again doing a co-buy.

And finally -and maybe your best option- is to reship from the USA ie use http://www.shipito.com Get you Viva's delivered there from the USA and they reship to you (you fill in the customs value/can combine parcels/choose shippers etc) at a small cost. I use that company and they provide a great service.

Whatever you go for bulk will save you long term.

About 10c

I like 11mm Vivas as they feel much sturdier to me and seem to be finished off incredibly well. The larger (UK) 14mm Amarays don't feel quite as nice but Amaray make great 11mm sized boxes too. Of course if you have 14mm covers you need 14mm cases. I buy the 11mm Amarays because they are 2 discers (face on face) and it's handy for replacing eco cases (USA), adding your own DVD or copy etc. They also feel great but I guess this is simply due to less width. The 14mm Amarays can easily be turned into a double or treble case as they are pre-hinged for the swing tray. Amaray also do the great Vortex (up to 10 discs 14mm) cases like Blade Runner utilises.

I usually buy in 50s as that's how they seem to come in the UK. Sometimes they can be cheaper off Market sellers @ http://www.amazon.co.uk

Thanks for the summarization ... Unfortunately I'm having difficulty digesting the fact that ship is taking up two thirds of the total cost ..

Regarding the last option, how much do you think ShipTo will charge to forward 100 Viva Elites to me in Pakistan .. ? I once thought about using them, but won't they charge more than what an International Seller on eBay might be charging for the same quantity ?

Regarding the second option, APR Media seems to be only shipping to within the UK and Europe, according to information on their website .. Do you have first hand experience in asking them to ship to somewhere outside Europe, to which they agreed ? ... Because otherwise I would just expect the usual 'Sorry, we don't ship outside Europe' message .. :P

In your Ebay account. Select your location as "Pakistan" and then from the drop down menu select "Price+Shipping Lowest first"! I can understand that the shipping prices from UK or US to Pak is very high. By the way which part of Pakistan are you from? I am from Faisalabad and living here in UAE. I also need to know how much a BD cost in Pakistan and do shops have good stocks? I mean in my city (during the old DVD days) it was almost impossible to find a genuine original DVD and pirated DVDs were sold like Rs100 lol and the situation was same two years back when I went back to Pakistan for a visit so I am very curious to know that do people buy BDs more often now in Pakistan?

@Kashif,

There is actually a better way of filtering results for Pakistan on eBay .. Go into Advanced Search, and then at the bottom somewhere, there is an option 'Available To:' .. Select Pakistan here, and all the resulting items are those which can be shipped to Pakistan .. The way you indicated still shows results which are sometimes not shippable to Pakistan ..

Regarding Bluray media prices in Pakistan, its *quite* expensive right now, but give it time and all such costs come dome .. For example the price for original Dual Layer DVD media here is now generally cheaper than a lot of retailers in the States, and I'm talking *good* media ..
