One of the few Eastwood films I haven't seen yet, on any format. Perhaps it is time.

One of my favorite films in Eastwood and Bridges' respective oeuvres and my favorite Cimino. This one can't come soon enough. Also has a great Paul Williams' theme song, "Where Do I Go From Here?".

Top,top film with one of my favourite unsung actors.

George Kennedy is terrific with a similar sense of gritty humour to his role in Cool Hand Luke

I will buy this even if its not region free. This may be the film that pushes me to have my CA751 chipped!

I noticed there is a placeholder for Thunderbolt & Lightfoot's U.S. release as being a Criterion Collection title. Can anyone verify the veracity of this? Does Criterion have the rights to T&L? If so, anybody know when we could expect it? Next year is its 40th anniversary.

This was an incorrect submission. It should be only a place holder

Default Thunderbolt and Lightfoot - Second Sight Films

They confirmed to me via Facebook that this is coming Oct/Nov this year and the exact date will be announced. I'm good for any region but I think it's Region B locked.

It was a downer all right, but I still like it because it felt RIGHT for the film. As somebody else mentioned, it was the 70s. I love that so many films back then would have downer endings and not be handcuffed by the studios desire for a happy ending. Look what happened to American Gigolo - an awesome film ruined by a tacked-on studio ending.

I love the downbeat 70s film endings. But this one really struck a chord - mind you, I was probably pretty young when I last saw this one!
