it was a shame about UMD being a failure. I bought a couple of them and they're good to have when the power goes out, but it would be awesome if they did Bluray technology for UMD. Just an idea

![]() It's already been said by Sony exec's in interviews on gamindustry.biz that the cell will be implemented, and mention of Blue-UMD. I didn't just pull this out of the air. Sony knows that backwards compatibility is important, thats why they will retain the UMD drive...though I'm sure pro duo slots will remain too for alternative media/games etc. via ps3 dl's.
