Actually, the way I hear it, there needs to be one more version of Star Wars, the set with only the original movies without the additions Lucas made with the extras that the full set has.

Ben-Hur & Blade Runner, I want to buy both, confused as to what version I need & which one I want.

Night of the Living Dead

I should not have to import this from Japan to get the best sounding and best picture quality of this film.

At least three of them are good transfers with lossless audio with two of them being region A friendly. Check my Superior International BDs thread if you're curious which releases are the best.

The Terminator - All are the same disc just with different art or packaging

The Matrix - All are the same disc just with different packaging... there is even a newer Wal-mart exclusive that is a side-by-side combo pack.

Any Miramax title released by Echo Bridge. Let's face it, with the way this distributor is handling these properties, it's frustrating to find the "right one." Equilibrium has different A/V depending on the release. Darkness has different A/V and cuts depending on the release. And they are just did this with some Jackie Chan films: four film pack has Project A at 1.78:1 but the single movie release is 2.35:1. And that's just naming a few...

Yeah, but how many releases do we need? Digibook, BD, BD/DVD combo, and then in the Rocky box set again. To make it worse EVERY release is still the same antiquated MPEG-2 transfer.

I agree. They've got another one coming out within the next two weeks.
