Inquiring about new receiver.

Ok I'm thinking about upgrading my receiver. I like the one i have but just want a newer one.
I currently have the Onkyo TX-SR 805. However the remote don't work anymore and i don't know if its the remote itself or the receiver just don't recogonize it anymore. However I'm not the original owner and I fixed a few things on it.

my max spending limit is $500. however cheaper the better. Here is my list of things it has to do.

-Obviously able to decode all Blu-rays codec's.
-Able to do all the things my current reciever can do.
-looking for a receiver that has the .2 channels for sub's.
-playback of CD'S with good sound, (not often but I do occassionly play CD's)
-Prefer to stay with onkyo but not mandatory.

If there are any other things I cna't think about please let me know. Need help and don't have a lot of time to search my self.
