Default Artists you like in genres you dont!

Thought this might be an interesting topic. Even among my most hated genres of music I can usually find 1 or 2 that I like. Here's my list...

Country:

Johnny Cash
Patsy Cline
Hank Williams

RAP:

Classic RUN DMC
LL Cool J
Eminem

Pop:

Michael Jackson
Prince
Lionel Ritchie

R&B

Marvin Gaye
Ray Charles
Aretha Franklin

Folk

James Taylor
John Denver

I really don't like country music...especially today's country music but I do like Johnny Cash, Willie & Waylon

I like some Marvin Gaye & John Denver too.

The moment I saw this thread, I immediately thought of Johnny Cash. I cannot abide country music, but there's something very rock-and-roll about what The Man in Black does in the midst of it.

I really can't say there are many genres of music I don't like at all. The only one I think would be Rap/Hip Hop (not saying it's bad, I just don't get it). But even than when Run DMC came out I thought it was kinda cool.

I don't like Electric, robotic dance, trance, dub step or any crap that isn't classified as music, i like to be able to get on an instrument and play it, synthesizers were cool in the 80's let it go.

AMEN! To me, that genre is the epitome of "McMusic." It's all so disposable!

Cash is kind of like Zeppelin. He will be eternally cool.

I am all about country music, but I will listen to a few non country acts. My most favorite would have to be Hall & Oates.

God bless you and them always!!!

I greatly dislike current mainstream country music, but I adore many older country artists. Emmylou Harris, in particular. The woman manages to get better & better; Wrecking Ball and Red Dirt Girl are two of the finest albums I've ever heard.
