Clockwork Orange

I live in the states and ordered a copy of Clockwork from an independent vender on Amazon and received it but it was a Canandian version. It won't play on my bluray player but I tend to have problems even with American releases. So my question is, is the Canadian version the same as the American version outside of the wording being in both English and French on the case? Thanks for any help.
