The first awards season featuring a slate of movies made after WW2. The Best Years of Our Lives took home Best Picture, Director, Actor, and Adapted Screenplay plus three more awards. The Yearling won Best Color Art Direction and Best Cinematography. Anne Baxter won Best Supporting Actress for her work in The Razor's Edge. Henry V and It's a Wonderful Life didn't win anything.
