Default Best TV for gaming?

I'm a pretty big movie guy but I'm also a pretty avid gamer and I'd say I split my time between the two about 50/50.

Anyway, would an LCD-LED be better for gaming or a Plasma? What I'm curious about is mainly the motion of the images/characters on screen and which one offers less motion blur, particularly in videogames. I'm not a fan of the "soap opera" look when it comes to movies but I'd prefer something like that for games though I HAVE heard something about it causing a "image delay" of sorts in LCDs???

Do a lot of you play games on your plasmas? What is considered to be the best kind of TV for gaming? I currently have a 50" Samsung LED-Projection TV, which is good and all, but in the next few months I'm going to strongly consider a new TV...probably something in the 55" range.

I ask because everyone in here seems very helpful and "in the know" about these sorts of things. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
