ok, one thought...

since the TV has no dts decoders...your player should be sending PCM.

(but seeing you had no problems with Tron...may not be the problem)

I have had this happen as well with the 1500, but only with a temporary loss of audio, usually corrects itself with turn the machine off and on, not sure what the newest firmware update is and if it would address this issue or not?

scorpion, the hdcp handshake can be sensitive...always try to turn your TV on first, then receiver, then player.

This will help eliminate any handshake issues.

So I had the same problem a couple weeks ago. I tried changing cables, slots, etc. And no luck. My wife is always twisting the TV and a few times it has caused the HDMI to get pulled out, so I figured she had finally broke something loose on the Blu-ray HDMI port. I figured I would do some quick research tonight before buying a new player tomorrow. I come across scorpionkingct's post of, "so today i go to use it, and it works fine, DAM GREMLINS! "

I go to give it a shot and sure enough... let there be audio. Weird to say the least.
