United Kingdom Rambo: Last Blood

I checked on HMV for the runtime for the UK release and noticed it was the 89 minute version:

https://store.hmv.com/store/film-tv/...mbo-last-blood

But the German BD release clocks in at 101 minutes:

https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07X37FY9N?...s%2C184&sr=8-3

Just thought i'd mention it for anyone wanting the extended cut release.

I want a version with an alternate audio track so they can use the Home Alone music when he's setting up his traps...

Yeah I'll be skipping the UK release if it's the shorter version. Only problem with Germany is that I read this movie has some specially created subtitles/ stylised subs, is this true? Might cause an issue in another language.

Dammit, i didn't think about that I haven't seen the film so can't comment on it, but i'm wondering now, too.

I think I read it in the 4K thread. Perhaps somebody else can confirm.

From my understanding, the Australian release has the extended cut, but it’s not available in 4K, which is why people are waiting for the German release. The Aus release shouldn’t have the subtitles issue.

As I saw the extended cut in the theatre and hated it, I'm actually more intrigued by the shorter cut in the hopes that it makes the movie look less cheap and rental. I would like to get an edition with both cuts, but as this is a movie made for the bargain bin, I'll wait for it to land there.

Does anyone know exactly why the USA and the UK get a shorter cut than some other countries? I find it bizarre. Surely they could include both cuts on the Blu-ray, like in the case of some other movies?

I enjoyed the film anyway even in its shorter cut but that removed opening sequence sounds really good. I guess it's the Australian Blu-ray for me.....

Confused. What’s wrong with this Australian release.

It’s because the film’s an international co-production and Lionsgate for UK and US chose a shorter cut whilst the international distributors went for a longer one.

The Australian Blu-ray is only in 5.1. The cheapskate distributor here did it on cheap, again. I will wait to see if the UK release is in Atmos.

You left out 'DTS-HD MA'... "Only 5.1" may give some the impression that it only includes a 5.1 lossy track. If you're going to mention specs, then you should list the full spec to save any confusion . Obviously you don't own this title... The Atmos track on the 4K disc wasn't anything special. I haven't watched the Australian standard Blu-ray yet (I'm intending to this week during my time off), I honestly won't be surprised if the DTS-HD MA 5.1 track on the standard Blu-ray actually sounds better than the Atmos track.

Yes, I stuffed up by not including that additional information. I apoligise, it won't happen again. You are correct, I don't own the aussie version, I have the American 4K UHD and Blu-ray which runs for 89 minutes, but I would prefer to get the longer version in Atmos if possible on either format, as that is what I saw in the cinema.

Looks like it's the Aussie disc, then. Where's the best place to order it from to the UK?
