Default Battleship

I would like to know why everybody beats up on Battleship. I thought it was a terrific movie. Interesting story, bits of humor, great special effects and a wonderful soundtrack. I have it on Blu Ray and enjoy watching it again & again. I, for one, would love to see a sequel.

I unashamedly love the movie. It hooked me at the burrito raid on the convenience store. I love it on so many levels perspectives. The story. The fitting inclusions of real life veterans, including physically challenged ones like Colonel Gadson in such a great role, the New Jersey itself, and it all. To me it is about as near to perfect feel good sci Fi action heroics film.

A sequel though, mayke not. It love to see another Peter Berg film starring Taylor Kitsch.. I will watch anything directed by Berg.

It's a lame wannabe Michael Bay Transformers movie. Considering the quality of Bay's filmography and the Transformers movies in general, I think that says everything.

I didn't hate it, but I doubt I will ever watch it again. Just 'ok' to me.

I dislike the look of the alien creatures underneath their cool uniforms. It turns out that the aliens look like a bunch of redneck meth-heads once their helmets are removed.

Everything else about the movie is spot-on, though. It's not the most intelligent flick in the world, but it is pretty fun and it looks fantastic.

I do not own it on Blu-ray, but I'm occasionally tempted, just to see how it carries over on high definition.

I personally couldn't care less what others think of it, but I find it kick-ass hilarious myself. I think the visual effects are way more impressive than the special effects though.

It certainly helps that the picture and sound quality are terrific.

I have chosen to believe that this flick is intentionally stupid, therefore remarkably funny.

I started watching it on an airplane once, but had to turn it off right after he delivers the chicken burrito, as I deemed it be mentally challenged in nature.

Fortunately, I gave it another shot when it was on sale, even though only for ILM's work and bonus features, but I then "got" it, and I have watched it several times on BD now. This is a terribly fun and funny movie.

I liked it too. I haven't watched it since it was released, maybe I should change that.

Every once in a while some IMDB users nail it, and this review is proof. Funner than the movie, but so full of spoilers you should see the flick first, then see how much you agree with, or just have a good laugh.

FWIW, I have a copy to laugh at every once in while (the bd, not the review).
