Most of the things I buy are Blind Buy's, I haven't reallly gone through my collection andwatched them all yet but so far I'd say Toy Story 3. I really enjoyed that movie, the whole family did as well.

Another one was Tron Legacy which was a birthday present (so it probably doesn't count) and I loved that as well, although I can't persuade anyone else apart from my sister to watch it, all my mother says is "it's Tron I ain't going near that again!"

I think she's been digitzed into the ENCOM mainframe in the past and didn't have a pleasant experience.... she may fallen off a lightcycle or caught a virus....

I have many more successful blind buys than failures - but recent ones which stand out include:

Lincoln Lawyer. Very reminiscent of Time To Kill/John Grisham. It's the best movie Matthew Mcconahaghuauayaay has made for a while.

Paul - absolutely ace, and ideal for 80's movie fans

Burke & Hare - great to see Landis return to form

Mad Men - now one of my favourite shows having picked up season one for about £7, without having ever seen an episode previously.

Best blind buys are probably: Avatar (Extended set), The Departed, For All Mankind and Ponyo.

I had avoided watching Avatar as I knew about the extended release, and when I finally got it I enjoyed the film (which I didn't think I would). As for the other 3 I'd only heard good things about them, and wasn't disappointed.

The Departed and
Carlito's way

Best one, I'm torn between the departed and Carlitos way.

others i enjoyed where
V for Vendetta (HDDVD)
The Dark Knight
Traffic (HDDVD)
Out Of Sight (HDDVD)
Casino (HDDVD)
21
The Losers
Kick Ass
The Notebook
Zombieland

All the HDDVD's where dirt cheep, cheaper than renting too and the Universal catalogue titles often tend to be be better than the blu-rays.
