im also curious about Solomon Kane, its released by Paramount so it should be region free right? i loved the movie and i dont see any sign of a release in the US.

I wasn't aware of that Solomon Kane disc. I bought the one from Amazon.co.uk a while ago and it is definitely not USA friendly.

Today, Dec. 13th I recieved my Solomon Kane blu ray that I ordered on Nov.28th from free record shop.nl which is in The Netherlands. It took only 16 days from the day I ordered it, until it arrived to me in San Diego, CA. I'm very impressed with the shipping time. As far as the price, it was $28.45 US dollars including shipping.

OK, now onto the Blu ray. It's the exact one as posted in the thread a few posts above mine, I believe it's #7 post. The movie has 3 or 4 trailers that are in english, with Dutch subtitles. After that, the movie begins, there is no menu. The movie is in english with forced Dutch subtitles. I tried a combination of several buttons on my remote to try and get to the menu, if there is one, so that I could turn off the subtitles, but no luck. UPDATE : FORGOT TO POST THIS EARLIER, BUT I CAN TURN OFF THE FORCED SUBTITLES USING THE "SUBTITLES" BUTTON ON THE REMOTE FOR MY OPPO BLU RAY PLAYER.

I just demoed it very quickly to see if it would play, and it did, so I'm very happy. Like I mentioned, just glance at it in a few places, but the picture looks pretty good. I'll give it a 4 to 4.5 out of 5 on the picture quality. As for the audio, maybe a 4.5 to 5 out of 5. There is a bombardment of cannons in the
beginning of the movie and it sounded great. The audio is in DTS HD master

As for what I'm playing it on, here is the list of main equiptment. All USA equiptment, with USA player, NOT modded.

Great ! Since my posting I have watched the movie 3-4 times. Pretty good movie, and definatly worth the money. Please post back after you have watched it.
