Hey guys I (think) I have a problem with my new Panasonic 60GT30 and would like your input. I started noticing it this weekend after watching a ton of movies. My issue is when certain parts of the screen, mostly shadows or darker scenes, start to flicker in contrast.
For example, in POTC Stranger Tides when Jack and Barbossa are tied to the tree and talking you can notice the background contrast changing. This also happens during regular tv, so it can't be the blu-ray. I was watching a show and the shadows on the womens face were changing dramatically, not gradually. The shadow behind a man was also changing brightness and the guy wasn't even moving! The weirdest part is that only certain areas (or blocks) of the image, not the whole screen, are affected. I have the C.A.T.S off and the latest firmware as well. I called Panasonic and they are sending out a technician, but is this problem normal or do I need the tech to come out? |
