Default Horrorween-A-Thon!

Hey guys! October is approaching and I'm a pretty big horror movie fan. I suggested to some people who also love Halloween and scary movies that I'm going to hold a couple showings a night on the weekend for a month of awesome horror movies and show them on the big screen. So I was thinking of some movies that would be perfect. But I want your guys opinions too for movies or just anything.
So far I was thinking...

The Shining - Don't see how I could leave this off.

Halloween - A giving, although I didn't really want a series because it might involve other movies.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre(Remake)- I actually really thought this was a solid remake.

The Blair Witch Project - Still a pretty spooky movie, although the sound and picture might suck on the big screen.

The Exorcist - Kind of a slower paced movie, but it is creepy!

The Strangers - Loved this film, and would probably look and sound good on the big screen.

But do you guys have any suggestions? I would prefer to have a movie that's on Blu-Ray for obvious reasons. So What do you guys think? Does anybody else do this too?

Already some great titles. If you ever need to lighten the horror mood, I would suggest Troll 2, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Nightmare Before Christmas

My podcast actually only watches horror movies in October. We have two rules. Always start with a hammer flick and end with the original Halloween 1 and 2.

My first week is dedicated to torture porn like Last house on the left, the strangers, and saw.

Yes! That movie freaked me out as a kid. Damn you Disney! My cousin actually suggested that the other day.
She also suggested an older Vincent Price film like House of Wax so we will probably do that. Although the remake is a guilty pleasure for me. Thanks again guys, some great suggestions. I would love to play Last House on the Left or Hills Have Eyes but girls have trouble watching those movie.

If you watch any horror film around Halloween it should be The Thing.

I second Drag Me to Hell, and want to suggest The Others. Not a gore (no pun intended) pic, but a great suspense movie.
