Shouldn't this be available this week or by next weekend since it releases Oct. 18?

If we're going by when the Lion King metal case came out, it should be available exactly one month before the disc release date. Which would make it September 18th. So next Sunday.

I could be wrong, but this is what i'd assume. And no, you're not the only one interested!

Same here. I was gonna get the HMV steelbook but, that one has ratings logos on it. I don't care if this is a metal case, it will match my first 3 steelbooks better.

That is what I expected. I might try this week becasue I did with the Lion King and got it a full week early. You never know I may get lucky again. If not it's only a week.

I was as well. I was waiting for someone to start one but no one ever did. It's a really nice case and I'm excited for it. It will fit with my soon to arrive Hot Toys Jack Sparrow DX. Like two peas in a pod.

I picked up the HMV version, since I thought it might look nicer than the US release (I really liked what they did with True Grit). Kinda bummed this has the blue banner & rating logos plastered on it. Any idea if BB will sell this case separately like they did with Toy Story 3? I'd do that, but I don't want to pick up a 2nd version of the movie entirely.

Thanks - I saw that page, but unless I'm reading it wrong, it looks like you have to buy the disc & they'll add in the metal case for free.

Nope, like many of BB's recent promos you pay $7.50 (for the empty case) which is deducted from the price of the movie at the time of purchase or can be refunded after a certain time frame.

I've been told to expect this on the floor on September 18th by people at BB. Again I have also been told it was a online exclusive. But the former source is more credible than the latter.
