A 1080p passive 3D display will use half it's resolution to display 3D content therefore you get 1920x540 (or 960x1080) per eye. I was curious as to how one would handle 720p 3D content. Any 720p 3D content would be displaying 1280x720 to each eye on an active 3D display.
Since 1920x540 is a higher resolution than 1280x720 does that mean there wouldn't be any loss of quality when doing 720p 3D on a 1080p passive 3D display? EDIT: Oops, can a mod move this to the 3D section? Last edited by PenguinMaster; 10-03-2011 at 05:23 AM. |
