help! i am already in blu, and have no prob with this..but...
my friend's hdtv only has 2 hdmi output, and this is hooked up to his cabletv and hddvd player. does anyone know if there are splitters/switchers or something that can allow him to hook up the BD hdmi cable to the tv along with the cabletv and hddvd (where and how much cost)? the thing is he doesn't have blu ray yet, but he is interested in buying a player if he can output to hdmi (and this is big, because he has over 800 dvds and 45 hd dvds. with blu ray selection, he would definitely at least 100 within a month of getting the player. THANKS for any help. |

I would say that considering how much money you say he intends on spending on movies, that his BEST option would be to just get a Sony STR-DG910 receiver.
-Accepts 7.1 LPCM (its a 7.1 receiver obviously) -3 HDMI inputs, all 1080p capable plus more, for $330 from JR.com Why spend $50-100 on just a switch? Might as well get a receiver and truly enjoy his movies. |

Why doesn't he just switch his cable box to component cables. With my hidef channels I literally saw no vast improvement using hdmi. If he decides to go with a switcher remember, no matter the quality of the switcher box, the more cables running, the more the signal degrades.
