Ebates Questions for an Ebate Noob - Blu-ray Forum

Hey I keep seeing Ebates being mentioned a lot in the Deals forum about how people use Ebates to get cash back / rewards.. I think I'm gonna signup however can anybody answer some of my questions based on Ebate experiences..

1. Is it safe?
2. I don't use PayPal so I see they send you a rebate check.. Does anybody do this? (I'm just afraid putting my acct# on back of check)..
3. Is it worth using Ebates?
4. What else can you tell me about Ebates (good or bad)

I can't guarantee it is safe but it has worked for me. I started using it last year when they offered $11 cash back on Disney movie club. i've used it on purchases from Best Buy, Walmart, Hastings, Road Runner Sports, even Walgreens when I ordered contact lenses in May. I have not done the refund check because I use Paypal but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Just will take a little longer. I think it is worth it depending on what percentage you are getting back. When I signed up initially, I got $11 for Disney plus they were offering a $10 gift card. I chose Target. So, right there was $21. I think I've gotten back about $50. My running shoes were $100 and the cash back was 5%. I think Walgreens was 8% at the time and the contacts were over $200. I was skeptical too, figured it was a scam, but it worked.
