what a shame.. Got the title right.. but the wrong movie!

what a shame.. thought I bought Supernova (2000) With James Spader and Angela Bassett a few weeks back but turns out I bought Supernova (2005) with Luke Perry. I actually remember liking the one made in 2000 but guess that wasn't released on Blu yet.. I hate it when there are multiple movies of the same name!!

yes I looked at the cover but I havent seen the movie for 10 damn years! I didn't realize that it wasn't the movie I thought it was until I popped it in started watching it. I got about 1/4 the way through and thought to myself "I remember this differently". Thats when I looked it up and found out that there was another movie with the same name..

nah couldnt.. bought it online through Overstock.com. was only like a $6-$7 buy but still. Sux to find out the movie you wanted to watch is not what you have..

I have this movie on DVD and to be honest, it's sort of a guilty pleasure of mine.

Edit: the 2000 version, never knew there was another one.

I would find this funny if it was just not realizing even after seeing the cover but it takes a turn into sad when it took 1/4 of the movie + having to look it up after that to clue in

You could've typed "Supernova" into the search function on this site, checked the PQ/AQ/review, and then realized it's not the same movie!
