United Kingdom Any idea of UK release for Childs Play ?

Am thinking of picking up a US release, as love this movie.

I have previously bought Dawn of the Dead, remake and Night of the Creeps both region free (my only imports) as not released over here.... but they have slim cases and look a little out of place.

Is this the norm? And anyone with news of a UK release for this title ?

Thanks

All US BD's have slim cases, I'd import as it's cheap and nothing on the horizon for a UK edition. Decent disc too.

Nothing on a UK release at the moment, unfortunately as I'd also love to pick it up.

Will pick up, notice it includes DVD as well so can sell my R1 DVD (£1 on ebay no doubt !!)

Looks like I'll need to build up an import section so they fit in .....

Shelf vanity !

Careful when importing combi packs from the US, i recently bought Road House and it came in a dvd size case. I after some hassle managed to send back for full refund and postal recharges as their stock photo was of a blu size aramay case so I argued false advertisement.

Just something to be wary of...

I would imagine a UK release will be a tough call to make for whoever owns this given the connection to the Bulger case - can't see many retailers being too keen to stock it.

I believe it was only Child's Play 3 with was caught up in the Bulger case and despite the media frenzy with copies being burned on bonfires etc it was never pulled from release at the time and was showing on sky at the time as well.
So I don't think that it would be a problem considering the passage of time.

it be ridiculously not to release a bluray because idiot "writer" for some rag like the mirror or dailymail decided to blame a movie over what happened to that kid.

speaking of the daily fail they had rant about a cinema club in Dublin screening human centipede part 2 uncut. they don't like people who not into pro censorship. they had rant about loop holes that allow cinema clubs to screen movies that censors don't want people to see.

I thought Childs Play 3 was pulled from the shelves (rental and retail)? I'm sure it was pulled by Universal themselves after pressure from the media. I remember it was to go retail about a week before it was pulled as I was planning to buy a copy.

I remember that Child's Play 3 was along with Texas Chainsaw Massacre part 3 the first VHS's I bought as a kid after getting my first own TV and VCR. But sadly they were both self made poor quality pirates.

On the Child's Play subject - MGM is known to be the worst big studio to give us Europeans their US releases. There's a ton of MGM's BD's that are only released in the US. The bright side with Child's Play BD is that it's region free as only a few other of their US titles that have not been released outside of the US.

It was Childs Play 3 that was linked to the Bulger case, as I was working on a project at the time, in RS on the Bulger case.

Also, the movie was pulled from retail & Rental along with all the other Childs Play movies. The Childs Play series, was slowly released back, roughly 5 years after the case!

Yeah I also found Big Trouble in Little China region free for £11.99

The DVD's for MGM were big sellers, wonder why they don't bother with UK releases?
