Canada Batman Begins and the Dark Knight

Hi, I was wondering how many versions of an English Batman Begins steelbook there are? All I know of is the one being sold on amazon.ca which only contains one disc. Also how many of the Dark Knight? I know the re-release without the blu strip which is only one disc and the Futureshop exclusive with 2 dics. Does anyone have the spines of the Batman Begins Canadian steelbook and the Dark Knight 2-Disc steelbook alongside each other? Thanks.

Not sure about the 2 disc version, but I know the spines don't match up between the 1 disc Canadian versions... the Dark Knight one has the BD logo higher up the spine at a different angle, the text is not centred in the same way, and there's an image of Batman underneath. I can post a pic later today if you want. I think the 2 disc version has the blu strip at the top of the spine, and also has the BD logos at a different angle to Batman Begins as well. And I'm pretty sure the Canadian Batman Begins is the only English language steelbook of it around.

When the Dark Knight Rises comes out, is it likely Japan will make a steelbook for that to complete the trilogy? Because if they dont then its disappointing if you buy it and then you have inconsistencies.

All 3 are from Canada. The Dark Knight that is open is the original from futureshop. The difference between that one and the re-release is it has a shiny finish and has the blu banner.

The new one doesn't have a blu banner and is a Matte finish to match the batman begins one. You can find those two on sites like amazon/futureshop/hmv i think if they are still available.

Also the re-release of The Dark Knight is just a single disc. The original has the second disc.

And the print quality and finish is way better. Nice and glossy

It's pretty much unanimous.

If you want the most out of a Dark Knight steelbook, hunt down the original 2 disc release by FutureShop.

Also, if you are OCD about the blu-ray and WB spine logos, and you want both films in steelbooks, get the original 2 disc FS Dark Knight steelbook, and the Batman Begins steelbook.

You can also see the difference in offset of the cycle in the two.

the original TDK (blue logo) is a 3 discs with 2 disc slot. the 3rd disc is a digital copy and comes in a white bluray sleeve. the latter TDK is only 1 disc with 1 disc slot. BB is a 1 disc with 1 disc slot. I currently have both TDK versions for sale, the limited edition I included the other 2 discs so its a 3 discs.
