United Kingdom HMV 2 for £15

Wasn't sure if anyone had noticed or mentioned this already but HMV's Blu-ray sale has been reduced to 2 for £15 instead of £20.
Have seen some great titles in my local HMV too.

Yeah this is instore only. Apparently they have new release catalogue titles such as Candyman and Cape Fear. Anyone been in and seen what else they have?

Yeah, Livingston they had:

Cape Fear (Scorsese)
Candyman
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (unusual box and normal box)
Frighteners, The
Halloween
Ray
Zodiac (with nice slipcover)

Mostly Universal stuff but it was in its own section ie the usual shop stock was full price. And there was no massive SALE sign anywhere really.

Quite a lazy display because there was 10 of one, then 10 of another. They should mix stuff up so people can browse. I'm assuming what was on the shelf was everything they had. They also had that hardbox Alien set for £19 I think on the aisle.

As I was saying in the other thread this is the first time I'd bought a Blu-ray in a shop. When I went to pay for it he asked for it and I almost told him to **** off until I realised he had to scan it

I bought my 2nd Blu-ray today too as ASDA had a load for £5-£6. 2 in 5 years? That's more than I ever bought with DVD since 1997.

Shops are good for looking at fridge freezers only. Usually.

I can imagine you cradling the Blu in HMV like a little kid who's just found the perfect toy. "Give the nice man your toy Son so the he can put it in a bag for you...."

Now the buggers ask 5p for the privilege. For 5p I want the biggest f**king bag they've got!

Anything good in the ASDA SALE? It might mean the difference between me turning left or right tomorrow when I go out.

I noticed a bunch of great and recent stuff in the 2 for £15 in my local. Its essentially the 2 for £20/£25 that has ran forever. I upgraded A History Of Violence and The Fly myself, but they had films as recent as Sucker Punch and the Reel Heroes collection in it.

No 5p to pay here in Scotland. All our polythene bags are subsidised by England

For those outside the UK (especially the USA) the psycho-environMENTALists have persuaded some governments to force shops to charge for bags. They were already charging obviously (d'oh) so now we pay twice. And if you don't pay you look like a tramp or you just stole the goods.

Never seen much in ASDA (maybe 25 titles). All good stuff but things I bought months ago so didn't take notice. I don't like browsing in shops really for discs as you can't check the technical side of things (although I do see people using their smartyphones for that -but I'm not a Facetuber so I need the real Internet).

Yet.
That sounds just wishy-washy enough of a policy for the SNP to be interested.

Its not the same catalogue selection as the 2 for £20 offer. Its a newer (older on the whole) offer with different titles. One HMV in Bham had the 2 for £20 offer still on, the other HMV had the 2 for £15, and the titles were different.

Hope this is still on in Southampton, im off in there tomorrow after Uni. I'm looking for:
- Being John Malcovich
- Cape Fear (De Nero)
- Halloween

Hoping for some others too, especially newer ones, as there are a bunch of new releases I want im my collection, but they're just too expensive elsewhere right now.

Been in 2 HMV's today and the 2 for £15 section was poor, no Halloween, History of Violence, Candyman or Cape Fear in sight.

As for Reel Heroes, priced at £10 in one and still in 2 for £20 in the other. Stupid inconsistent HMVs!

I popped into my local yesterday and picked up Hitman and Sucker Punch. Apparently they hadn't put out most of the stock yet as they had just been delivered and they had 'boxes and boxes upstairs' according to the staff. So if your local is looking abit sparse it could be the same. I had to ask for them to bring me down a copy of Sucker Punch.
