The family has just moved into their dream house in the country. Strange things are about to happen. Strange noises are heard from the walls, the doors open and close by themselves. Are they really alone in the house or is there something else?

Besökarna is something unusual of a Swedish horror film. So 33 years after the premiere, it is considered a kind of cult classic.

March 14, 2022 Studio S Entertainment is now releasing the film for the first time in blu-ray format and in its original version, which was first shown in Swedish cinemas in 1988.

Just saw it with the Swedish DTS-HD MA: 5.1 sound. Very good picture quality and sound.

Was this limited to an amount? its not coming up on Amazon (SWEDEN) or english friendly? and is there a different cover with two kids facing a ghost? oh and is it English Friendly?

It's not listed on amazon.se (as of yet). It's not a limited release and is available in most scandinavian web-stores. Yes, it's english friendly It contains english subtitles, disc is region-free and the video is 1080p at 24 fps.

I'd say one wouldn't have much hope of finding much of any Swedish issues of films on the Swedish Amazon. Imports from Germany, UK and the like are a plenty but they're usually shipped from abroad, either by Amazon themselves or foreign marketplace sellers. Once in a good while you can get a great deal on an import title but on the whole I find Amazon SE to be a complete waste of time and effort.

I tried a few Studio S titles to see if they turned up in my searches and was a complete bust. To be frank, I'm not sure if Amazon even has a warehouse in this country...

Retailers shipping outside Europe or even the EU are hard to find. I did come across one located in Stockholm that has been in business since 2008: https://papercutshop.se/product/besokarna-blu-ray/

Mind you, international shipping tends to be expensive in Sweden and just ordering the Besökarna blu-ray will add 150 SEK to the cost so expect to pay about US$34 in total.
