My wife and I got free movies tickets and we area trying to decide what to go see for our weekly date night. Currently the top contenders would be (in this order):
Real Steel J. Edgar 3 Musketeers There are thing that appeal about each one. What are your reccomendations between those 3? Feel free to suggest another one as well. |

personally, I wouldn't touch 3 Musketeers with a ten foot pole.
J. Edgar has been getting mixed reviews, but I still want to see it myself. Real Steel surprised me - it aint' great, but it's a fun, feel good movie. if you want something different I'd recommend Emilo Estevez' The Way which I highly recommend! |

The one I would be really excited to see at the end of the month is The Artist, but it is getting a fairly limited release and I doubt it wil be playing anywhere in my neck of the woods.
But since it is a specialized film I believe only those who would appreciate such films, would go and not your caual moviegoer, which IMO can only enhance the experience. |

There is an incredibly weak lineup of films out in theaters right now. Really for most of the second half of the year. I went from seeing "Cowboys & Aliens" in July, to not seeing anything until "The Thing" last month.
I'd like to see "Real Steel" though. I know it won't be great, but it looks fun and Hugh Jackman is pretty much the most likable guy in Hollywood. I don't like what I've seen so far of "J. Edgar". Just the look of it bugs me. It almost looks like the whole thing was filmed in front of a green screen or something. "The Rum Diary" looks like it would be okay. "The Ides of March" is something I'd watch at home, not at a theater. And "Paranormal Activity 3" is one that I'll see (but you'd have to have seen the first two to follow it I imagine). |

We do want to see the mission impossible and sherlock, but that will not work fotr date night this weekend. I've not see many reviews for J. Edgar. I know almost nothing about 3 musketeers except it has some steam punk type of stuff. My wife is a fan of steam punk in some cases.
We'll see, more then likely it will be Real Steel at this rate. |
